Car Vs Pole Leaves Driver In Critical Condition

DETAILS:

1. Cal Fire, Riverside County, Corona Fire Department and California highway Patrol, Riverside office responded to several reports of a car vs a pole with the driver trapped.
2. When units arrived on scene, they found one car, wrapped around a light pole with the driver trapped and in critical condition.
3. A second truck was requested to assist with a difficult extrication.
4. Firefighters spent over an hour extricating the victim.
5. At the 2:48 timestamp a tow truck was used to pull the car from the back axle, to separate it from the light pole.
6. The man was finally extricated and transported in critical condition.
7. At this time the cause of the collision is being investigated.
