Car Split Into Three Pieces; Two Killed

12.14.2020 | 12:30 AM | SAN BERNARDINO – Authorities responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident into a tree. Upon arrival, they located a single-vehicle traffic accident with major damage. The vehicle was split into three main pieces after striking a tree

Upon investigation, they found one victim had been ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. They also located a second victim inside the vehicle and they were also pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle was traveling eastbound on Tippecanoe at a high rate of speed when for a unknow reason the driver lost control of the vehicle. Skid marks can be seen leading up to the point of impact.

The vehicle was split into three main pieces with the passenger side door area of the vehicle wrapped around a tree. The dashboard and steering wheel can be seen laying on the opposite side of the street.

The force of the impact sent the rest of the vehicle flying down the street.

High Speed is believed to be a factor in the accident. It is unknown if street racing may have been a factor in the accident. Tippecanoe is closed in both directions at Rialto Ave. while officers conduct their investigation.
