Car Smashes Through Tobacco Store Narrowly Missing Two Customers

On 10/19/2023 at approximately 4:39 PM, Brea PD officers responded to a retail store located at 860 West Imperial Hwy regarding a vehicle into a building.  Upon arrival, officers discovered a BMW sedan had driven into the front of the store and was completely inside the structure.  There were only moderate injuries reported by at least one person inside the building.  The driver of the vehicle, a 56 year old woman from Brea, was arrested for DUI.  The building suffered substantial damage and was red-tagged by the Brea building inspector.
