Car Slams Into Fire Truck On I-10 In Los Angeles

At approximately 2:39 a.m. on April 19, 2026, firefighters were responding to a traffic collision along the eastbound 10 Freeway between Crenshaw Boulevard and Arlington Avenue in the Jefferson Park/West Adams area.

Los Angeles Fire Department Engine 34 arrived at a single-vehicle crash blocking lanes, with firefighters accessing the scene by running up an embankment.

During the response, a second traffic collision occurred when another vehicle crashed into the rear of the fire engine, causing significant damage.

A tow truck was requested to remove the disabled fire apparatus as crews worked to clear the scene.

The circumstances surrounding both crashes remain under investigation.
