Car Nose Dives Off Overpass in Riverside
INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 2-4-24, 3:34 a.m.
LOCATION: NB SR 91 and Spruce Off-ramp

DETAILS:
- California Highway Patrol, Riverside, and Riverside Fire Department responded to reports of a vehicle that had gone off an overpass and landed below on its front end.
- When units arrived, they found one vehicle that had left the overpass and landed about 50 feet below.
- Firefighters made access to the vehicle, which was empty.
- At this time, it appears that the vehicle came off the off-ramp at a high speed and through the intersection, through the chain link fence, and off the overpass.
- It isn’t known if drugs or alcohol were a factor.
- CHP said it sounded like the driver was driving too fast, sliding on the wet roads, and went off the overpass.
