Car Flies Off The Freeway in Violent Crash | Moreno Valley
01.15.2022 | 1:23 AM | MORENO VALLEY – California Highway Patrol, Riverside County Sheriff and Cal Fire, Moreno Valley responded to a single vehicle traffic collision.
Per witnesses the car exited the freeway at Day Street at a high rate of speed, went through the guardrail, flew through the embankment and landed on the SR 60 EB onramp at least 75 feet away.
The guardrail is visibly blocking the road and lying in the brush on the other side of the road along with pieces of the vehicle and visible marks where the car hit the ground before flipping over the other guardrail (3:10)
The single occupant of the vehicle was trapped and removed from the vehicle.
At this time it isn’t clear if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident.
The driver was transported by AMR to a local area hospital in an unknown condition.
The driver has had their blood drawn to check for intoxicants, CHP is currently waiting for results
The Day Street Off ramp from EB60 will remain closed until the guardrail is removed from the road.
