DETAILS:
- A large explosion was reported this afternoon February 11, 2025, at the Sum Metro Transit Operations Center in east El Paso.
- 5 patients were transported to a local hospital, one in critical condition.
- 48 Units responded to the scene with a total of 100 firefighters.
- The cause of the explosion is under investigation at this time.
- The large fire is now under control with firefighters fighting hot spots.
- The building suffered major damage with the roof and walls collapsing.
- The investigation will take 1-2 weeks to conclude.
- AFT and FBI agents were on the scene to assist in the investigation.
- All Employyes were evacuated from the facility.
