Car Demolished After Pursuit Ends In Horrific Crash | San Diego

09.03.2021 | 10:46 PM | SAN DIEGO – A San Diego Police officer attempted to pull over a white sedan for a vehicle equipment violation (No License Plate Lamp) near the intersection of 55th St. & Montezuma Road. The driver failed to yield and a pursuit ensued. The driver led police westbound on Montezuma heading towards the I-8 freeway. At one point, the suspect went on the wrong way of the road where he lost control and rolled the vehicle several times before coming to a stop near Camino Del Rio South and Montezuma Road. The driver was able to self-extricate out of the vehicle before being taken into custody. The driver was transported to Scripps Mercy hospital, his injuries are unknown at this time.
