Car Crashes Into Fire Truck In Houston, TX

 

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 1-3-26 | ~12:00 a.m.
LOCATION: I-45 (Gulf Freeway) NB – near Exit 29 (F.M. 2351 Friendswood/Clear Lake City BLVD
AREA/CITY: Houston
DETAILS:

1. HFD was assisting HPD with an unrelated crash investigation.

2. A vehicle traveling at high speed hit the parked HFD truck.

3. Two firefighters were injured and transported to the hospital. They are in stable condition.

4. The driver of the striking vehicle is in critical condition.

5. A DWI unit was requested to investigate possible impairment but the driver is currently incapacitated.

6. There were no signs the driver attempted to brake before the crash.
