Car Crashes Into Catholic Bookstore In Fountain Valley

A car crashed into a Catholic bookstore Thursday morning in Fountain Valley, causing enough structural damage for firefighters to red-tag the building.

Orange County Fire Authority crews responded around 10:35 a.m. on September 24, 2026, to the bookstore at 18921 Magnolia Street following reports of a vehicle crashing into a structure.

Two customers were standing at the store’s counter when the vehicle struck the building. Neither customer was injured.

Preliminary information suggests the driver may have experienced a medical emergency before crashing into the storefront. The driver’s condition was not immediately available.
Firefighters assessed the damage and red-tagged the building, restricting occupancy due to safety concerns.

Fountain Valley police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
