Car Catches Fire After Roll Over Crash

LOCATION: NB 215 South of 259 Connector

DETAILS:

  1. On April 5th, 2025, at about 1:00 AM, San Bernardino County Fire, AMR, and CHP were dispatched to a traffic collision on the Northbound 215 Freeway, just south of the 259 Connector in San Bernardino.
  2. County Fire located a solo-vehicle rollover collision with fire.
  3. The driver was able to escape the flames before SBCFD’s arrival and was transported by AMR with unknown injuries.
  4. The fire was quickly extinguished, and firefighters checked the vehicle for additional victims, but luckily, no others were found.
  5. CHP arrived at the scene and started clearing lanes to reopen the freeway.
  6. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
