Camp Pendleton: Brush Fire Grows To 60+ Acres

10.22.2019 | 6:00 PM | CAMP PENDLETON – A brush fire burned over 60 acres of vegetation on a military installation, Tuesday evening.

Firefighters are on scene of the fire that is burning near the U.S. Naval Weapons Station Fallbrook on Camp Pendleton.

More than 60 acres have burned on the 125,000-acre Marine Corps base as of 6:00 PM.

No structures were threatened by the fire but a large plume of smoke was visible from many areas in northern San Diego County.

Information regarding the cause of the fire was not immediately available.
