Camarillo: Large Jet Fuel Spill Prompts Hazmat Response

02.20.20 | 12:12 AM | CAMARILLO – A large jet fuel spill prompted hazmat teams to respond to a local airport, early Thursday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a fuel spill at Sun Air Jets at the Camarillo Airport located in the 800 block of Aviation Drive around 12:12 AM.

Crews arriving on scene learned that approximately 400 to 500 gallons of Jet A-1 fuel had been spilled on the tarmac during a transfer process.

Hazmat teams worked to contain the spill and mitigate any potential hazards.

No injuries were reported and the incident is under investigation.
