Camarillo: Dogs Safe After Hit & Run Driver Crashes Into Paw Works Rescue

03.15.2020 | 1:17 AM | CAMARILLO – Dogs were safe after a hit-and-run driver crashed into a non-profit animal rescue housing the pooches, early Sunday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a crash involving a building at Paw Works located in the 2200 block of East Pleasant Valley Road around 1:17 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a sedan that had collided with the building housing the non-profit animal rescue.

Animals including several kennels of dogs were inside the building at the time of the crash but did not sustain any injuries.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot and was not immediately located.

According to their website Paw Works is a nonprofit animal rescue shelter for for abandoned cats and dogs.
