Bystanders Beat Up Irate Driver That Struck Pedestrian In Houston

Just before 10pm, Houston Police responded for a reported auto vs pedestrian. Upon arrival, they found a gas station worker that had been run over by a vehicle that was traveling at a high rate of speed in the parking lot. The victim was transported in critical condition but is expected to survive. In addition, several witnesses that saw the crash pulled the driver out of the car and started beating him. The driver was severely beaten and he was also transported to the hospital with serious injuries. While the male driver was being treated by EMS for his injuries, he attempted to assault one of the firefighters treating him and he may be charged with assaulting a public servant. The crash remains under investigation by Vehicular Crimes Investigators and more charges may be possible.
