Burglars Steal 40k Worth Of Marijuana

At approximately 5:00 a.m. on April 19, 2026, burglary suspects targeted a marijuana warehouse in the 14800 block of Bessemer Street in Van Nuys.

According to investigators, the suspects used a vehicle to ram through the front security gate before attempting to breach a second metal roll-up door. After being unable to force entry, they used a sledgehammer found at the location to access the building.

Authorities say the suspects removed approximately 10 crates of marijuana, with an estimated value of up to $40,000. Several additional crates were left behind outside the warehouse, with contents scattered across the street.

Workers were seen cleaning up the spilled marijuana following the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
