Burbank: Crash Into UPS Truck Traps Driver

02.22.2019 | 2:45 AM | BURBANK – A driver was trapped in their vehicle after rear-ending a UPS truck, Friday morning.

Authorities responded to the crash at the intersection of Hollywood Way and Magnolia Boulevard around 2:45 AM.

Crews arriving on scene located a black sedan with major damage that apparently rear-ended a UPS box truck.

The driver of the sedan was trapped in the wreckage and their vehicle was slowly catching fire prompting firefighters to quickly extricate the occupant.

They were freed within 20 minutes and transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.

The driver of the UPS truck was uninjured and remained on scene to cooperate with authorities.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
