Buena Park: Suspected DUI Driver Crashes Into Fire Hydrant

08.07.2020 | 2:48 AM | BUENA PARK – A suspected DUI driver crashed into a fire hydrant causing a geyser of water to gush for over an hour, early Friday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision in the 7700 block of Beach Boulevard around 2:48 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a female driver who had crashed into a fire hydrant and light pole.

A geyser of water was shooting into the air as a result of the sheared hydrant which had to be shut off by firefighters.

Officers administered field sobriety tests on the female driver before placing her under arrest on suspicion of DUI.
