Buena Park: DUI Driver Causes Fiery Freeway Crash

01.09.2019 | 12:05 AM | BUENA PARK – A suspected DUI driver was under arrest after causing a fiery three-car crash, early Wednesday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a fiery crash on the northbound I-5 Freeway just south of Beach Boulevard around 12:05 AM.

Units arriving on scene found a three-vehicle crash including a Ford Crown Victoria sedan engulfed in flames.

Good Samaritans on scene had puled the driver of the engulfed vehicle to safety prior to the arrival of first responders.

Luckily only one person suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash.

The driver of the Ford Crown Victoria was reported to have been speeding before rear-ending another vehicle and catching fire.

Officers administered field sobriety tests to the female driver of the Crown Victoria and determined she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. She was placed under arrest and booked into Orange County Jail.
