Brush Fire Burns Near Forest Lawn Cemetery

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 6-25-24 | 1:29 a.m.
LOCATION: 5201 Forest Lawn Dr
AREA/CITY: Los Angeles
DETAILS:

1. LAFD responded to a report of a rubbish fire
2. Firefighters arrived to find a 1/2 acre of heavy brush burning
3. Crews had a difficult time accessing the fire
4. Eventually, firefighters made access & determined the fire was approximately 2 acres
5. LAFD utilized their helicopters and quickly extinguished the flames
6. The cause of the fire is unknown, but the origin of the fire is at a homeless encampment
7. No injuries have been reported
