Broadway-Manchester: One Dead, Two Injured After Suspected DUI Crash

04.19.2020 | 3:17 AM | LOS ANGELES – A three-car crash left one person dead and two others injured, including the driver of one vehicle that is facing manslaughter and possible DUI charges, early Sunday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving several vehicles in the 200 block of West Century Boulevard near Olive Street in the Broadway-Manchester area around 3:45 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a three-car crash with one person who had been ejected and another trapped in the wreckage.

Firefighter paramedics pronounced the female that was ejected deceased on scene and worked to free the trapped occupant within several minutes.

Crews transported the patient who was trapped to an area hospital for treatment along with the driver of the car police say caused the crash.

Initial reports indicate that a female driver caused the crash when she ran a red light triggering the crash.

Officers say the female driver who ran the red light is facing vehicular manslaughter charges and may also be charged with DUI.
