Brief Standoff Between CHP & Suspects After High Speed Pursuit

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 5-23-23 | Approx 11:00 p.m.
LOCATION: 61st st & Broadway

DETAILS:

1. CHP East LA received word of a pursuit heading west on the 60 coming from Santa Fe Springs
2. The suspect was driving a black Kia sedan at 130 plus miles per hour
3. The suspect eventually made his way to the area of 61st St between Grand & Broadway
4. 5 suspects fled from the vehicle and ran into a nearby residence
5. A large perimeter was established
6. Several callouts were made and eventually the suspects exited the residence and surrendered
7. Several people were detained, it is unclear how many are facing charges at this time
8. CHP is handling the investigation
