Bonita: Man Burned During Garage Fire

11.17.2018 | 12:11 PM | BONITA – A man suffered second-degree burns after a garage fire, Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters responded to the 3800 block of Alta Loma Drive shortly after 12:11 PM regarding reports of a garage fire.

Units arriving on scene located a detached garage with heavy smoke and fire showing and initiated efforts to attack the blaze.

While dousing the flames, a man was discovered who suffered burns. Paramedics treated the man on scene before transporting him to UCSD Hospital’s Burn Center.

The fire was snuffed out within an hour however the garage was a complete loss.

Investigators were requested to determine the cause of the fire.
