BNSF Z-Train Strikes and Kills Pedestrian | Riverside

12.28.2021 | 12:30 PM | RIVERSIDE – Riverside Fire Department a long with Riverside Police Department responded to a train vs pedestrian call.

When they arrived they found one female victim next to the tracks, paramedics pronounced them deceased.

According to a witness, the woman parked her vehicle on the side of the road about half a block away and walked through a hole in the fence and to an area next to the tracks.

Business owners in the area said that it is an area where people come often, park down the street, go into the area next to the tracks and then leave.

According to an officer on the scene, the victim doesn’t appear to be a transient, but he couldn’t confirm that.

At this time, no more details are available.
