BNSF Train Fatally Strikes Pedestrian

LOCATION: Near McGraw St & Morena Blvd.
AREA/CITY: San Diego
DETAILS:

 

1. A male was hit and killed while he was walking on the train tracks by a Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) freight train.
2. It’s not known why the man was on the tracks.
3. The BNSF train was heading north and stretching over a mile with its freight cars.
4. The train was carrying new vehicles.
5. The SDSO is investigating the incident.
6. The tracks have been shut down for an unknown amount of time.
