Big Rig Loses Load And Causes 15 Car Pileup in Diamond Bar

CHP received reports around 1:50am that a big rig had lost a piece of machinery on the Eastbound CA-60 near Diamond Bar Blvd. As CHP was responding, multiple vehicles began striking the debris, disabling vehicles in lanes. Upon officer arrival, there had been about 15 vehicles that had struck the debris and were scattered across lanes. Officers as well as firefighters helped move vehicles out of lanes and multiple tow trucks were requested for some of the disabled vehicles. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured and the big rig driver may be facing a citation for the unsecured load.
