Big Bear Hotshot Firefighter Goes Missing

09.25.20 | Big Bear – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department – Sheriff’s Department Search and Rescue volunteers, deputies, Sheriff’s Aviation and, two (2) K-9 units are searching the area near where Baltazar’s car was found on September 20th. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to immediately contact Sheriff’s Dispatch at (909) 866-7581. ******************** CHP located Carlos’ vehicle on September 20th on HWY 18 and Delta Ave. Carlos was reported missing by family on September 24th. Aviation, a K9, and a ground search was done after the report. His backpack was found 75 yards from where his vehicle was located. K9s continued to track Carlos’ scent but the scent was eventually lost. We are continuing the search with deputies and bloodhounds. Carlos is a part of the United States Forest Service Interagency Hotshot Crew and was off duty at the time and not in the area of the El Dorado Fire. For licensing, contact info@onscene.tv
