Bicyclist Struck As Crowd Follows Bam Margera From Skate Park

Professional skateboarder Bam Margera drew a large crowd to the Escondido Skate Park Tuesday afternoon after announcing an appearance and giveaway on Instagram.

Attendees began arriving around 3 p.m. on September 29, 2026, at the skate park near Rose Street and Washington Avenue. Margera arrived around 3:30 p.m. and was quickly surrounded by fans asking for photos and autographs.

After spending time with the crowd, Margera made his way to the top of a half pipe and began tossing giveaway items to attendees.

As Margera was leaving the event, several attendees followed his vehicle onto Rose Street. During the commotion, a bicyclist who had attended the event was struck by another vehicle.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with Escondido police. The bicyclist reported only minor injuries.

There was no indication Margera or his vehicle was involved in the collision. Margera was not available for comment.
