Bicyclist Shot to Death Near Compton Airport

DETAILS:

  1. COMPTON (CNS) – A man was shot and killed in Compton early Thursday evening. The shooting occurred at approximately 6:02 p.m. Thursday on the 1000 block of South Whitemarsh Avenue, one block south of Alondra Boulevard, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau. Compton Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.There is no suspect information.

    Note: Detectives appeared to be focusing on a van parked near the scene. It is unclear if the van belonged to the bicyclist.
