Bellflower: Stolen Car Recovered After High-Speed Pursuit

01.03.2019 | 1:30 AM | BELLFLOWER – A fugitive was in custody and a stolen vehicle was recovered after a high-speed pursuit, Thursday morning.

Officers attempted to stop a speeding vehicle along the westbound SR-60 in the city of Industry around 1:30 AM.

The driver of the vehicle, later identified as a fugitive with a no-bail warrant, failed to yield and led officers on a high-speed pursuit.

During the pursuit the vehicle stopped briefly, allowing two females to exit, before continuing to flee.

After almost 30 minutes the driver of the vehicle stopped and surrendered to law enforcement in the area of Alondra Boulevard and Eucalyptus Avenue in Bellflower.

He was taken into custody without further incident and held on his no-bail warrant and probation violations among other charges.

Police quickly discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Las Vegas, Nevada.

It was unknown whether the suspect’s female companions were located.
