Bellflower: Pedestrian Killed On Busy Freeway

12.10.2018 | 9:33 PM | BELLFLOWER – A pedestrian was struck and killed on a busy freeway, Monday night.

Police and fire officials responded to reported pedestrian down on the eastbound SR-91 freeway just west of Lakewood Boulevard shortly after 9:30 PM.

Officers arriving on scene located a person down laying across lanes of the freeway and determined them to be deceased.

Multiple lanes were closed while police surveyed the scene for evidence and conducted their investigation.

The driver who struck the pedestrian remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.

It was unclear why the pedestrian was on the freeway when he was struck.
