Bellflower: Crash Into Building Prompts Evacuations
08.01.2019 | 12:55 AM | BELLFLOWER – At least five people and four dogs had to be evacuated after a vehicle crashed into a vacant storefront beneath an apartment building, early Thursday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of a vehicle that had crashed into a two-story building in the 9500 block of East Los Angeles Street around 12:55 AM.
Units arriving on scene located a dark-colored Ford Explorer that had crashed into a building becoming lodged with two occupants inside and several occupied apartments above.
Firefighters quickly evacuated the apartment building and freed the couple from the vehicle.
One female adult inside the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
