Bell: Standoff With Suspects Inside Truck Ends With Gas Deployment

12.24.2018 | 1:00 AM | BELL – A standoff between police and the driver and passenger of a truck was over after officers deployed tear gas, early Monday morning.

Police contacted a truck with two suspects inside near the intersection of Jaboneria Road and Florence Avenue around 1:00 AM.

For reasons that remain under investigation, a standoff ensued and the occupants inside the truck refused to cooperate with authorities.

The standoff prompted the response of a Special Emergency Response Team that used an armored vehicle along with tear gas to take both suspects into custody.

Additional information regarding the circumstances surrounding the standoff was not immediately available.
