Barricaded Suspect Taken Into Custody In Beverly Hills

At approximately 12:20 a.m. on May 4, 2026, officers took a barricaded suspect into custody following an hours-long standoff near Robertson Boulevard and Burton Way in the Beverly Hills area.

Authorities say the suspect, who was wanted in connection with an attempted murder investigation involving a peace officer, remained barricaded inside a truck throughout much of Sunday.

During the incident, a hostage was reportedly released safely.

SWAT teams later deployed flashbangs and gas into the vehicle before the suspect crawled underneath an armored vehicle, where less-lethal rounds and a police K9 were used to take him into custody.

The suspect was treated by paramedics at the scene before being transported.

The investigation remains ongoing.
