1. A man barricaded inside his house attempted to light it on fire
2. LAFD staged a block away from the residence until the scene was secured by LAPD
3. A contents fire was discovered in a corner of the house
4. LAPD officers used a fire extinguisher in an attempt to put out the flames
5. The suspect had suffered smoke inhalation injuries and was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition
6. LAPD Mission Division is investigating the incident
