Azusa: Shooting Inside Apartment Leaves One Dead

11.21.2018 | 12:30 AM | AZUSA – Homicide detectives were investigating after a person was found shot to death inside an apartment, early Wednesday morning.

Police responded to reports of a shooting inside an apartment unit in the 600 block of North Rockvale Avenue around 12:30 AM.

Units arriving on scene accessed the apartment unit where they found a victim down suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Firefighter paramedics responded and determined the victim was deceased on scene.

During efforts to secure the area residents advised officers that they found .22 caliber ammunition on the ground near the apartment. It was unclear if this ammunition was related to the shooting.

A perimeter was established while homicide detectives responded to the scene.

No further details regarding the victim or motive behind the shooting were immediately available.
