Awful High Speed Crash Leaves Driver Trapped In Work Van | Perris

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 2-20-23, 12:26pm LOCATION: Harley Knox Blvd and Indian Ave CITY: Perris DETAILS: Cal Fire Riverside County, Perris and Moreno Valley Stations and Riverside County Sheriff, Perris responded to a three vehicle traffic collision, all vehicles with major damage and multiple patients. When they arrived they found 3 vehicles, a silver Honda Accord and a White work van in the intersection and a GMC Yukon that was about 75 yards away in a field. The driver of the van who is a commercial plumber for Direct Plumbing and Drains was trapped in the van and required extrication. Extrication took just over an hour, and the patient was transported to a local area hospital with critical injuries. Both drivers from the two other vehicles were also transported, both suffering from minor injuries. At this time it is not clear in alcohol or drugs played a factor in the collision. The police and the Battalion Chief agreed that at least one if not two of the vehicles were most likely traveling at a high rate of speed when the collision occurred.
