Attempted Murder by Fire on Two Transients

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 7-11-24 4:55 am
LOCATION: NB I-805 offramp to San Ysidro Blvd
AREA/CITY: San Diego
DETAILS:

 

1. A male and female transient(s) were sleeping under a large tree between the northbound I-805 and the exit to San Ysidro Blvd.
2. The woman told the Police that she woke up to a female dumping gasoline from a red gas can on her and the male and setting them on fire.
3. The female suspect then ran away ca. carrying the gas can
4. The male has severe burns to one of his arms, along with other burns to his head and body.
5. The female has several burns throughout her body.
6. Both were rushed to the UCSD Burn Center.
7. The CHP will be handling the investigation.
