Arsonist Lights Chain of Fires in Houston, TX

10.07.20 | 12:48 AM | HOUSTON – HFD responded to three fires within a few blocks from each other. The fire happened within 30 minutes. The first fire was a market fire. It appears a detached structure in the back of the market was on fire. The second fire was dispatched as a garage on fire near Lou Ellen Ln and Piney Woods Dr. This fire was described as a very small structure or rubbish. The third fire was a vehicle fire in the back of a business (Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp). All three fires were called in by the same person. A man who called in all three fires was detained at the third scene. He was later released after speaking with Arson units. A second person was scene also detained. That person was also released.
