Armed Suspect Stand Off

DETAILS:
- VISTA: At around 11:06 a.m., multiple reports came in regarding a man who was cutting and scraping his scalp with a knife.
- Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the individual, who became confrontational. Additional units were requested, and a standoff ensued.
- After some time, the man began yelling at deputies to kill him and grew increasingly aggressive.
- Deputies deployed pepper balls, causing the man to take cover behind a vehicle. A 40mm less-lethal round then struck the man, who subsequently stabbed the back window of the vehicle before being taken into custody.
- The man was transported to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. No other persons were injured.
