Arleta: Multi-Vehicle Crash & Vehicle Fire Keep First Responders Busy

09.28.2019 | 3:58 AM | LOS ANGELES – A multi-vehicle crash and subsequent unrelated vehicle fire kept first responders busy on a local freeway, early Saturday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving multiple along the southbound I-5 Freeway near Osborne Street around 3:58 AM.

Units arriving on scene located five vehicles involved in a traffic collision, some with major damage.

Firefighter paramedics treated at least one person from the crash to an area hospital with moderate injuries.

While crews worked to clear the scene a Nissan Altima burst into flames on the opposite side of the freeway in northbound lanes.

Crews quickly extinguished the vehicle fire.

Both incidents remain under investigation and are believed to be unrelated.
