Arizona Man Trapped Inside Crushed Up Truck Rescued

Phoenix Police and Phoenix Fire responded to the 4000 East block of Ray Road after receiving reports of a single vehicle traffic collision around 12:55 AM Thursday morning.

Officers arrived and located a work truck with an industrial power washer mounted on the bed that had collided into a palm tree in the center median.

Due to the severe damage to the cab, the driver was trapped and required extrication.

Firefighters utilized hydraulic spreaders to open the passenger side door of the truck before extracting the single male occupant on a backboard.

According to Phoenix Fire radio traffic, The man was rushed to a local area trauma center in serious condition.

Both directions of Ray Road were closed.
