Apple Valley: Firefighters Battle Second Alarm Fire
11.18.2018 | 7:17 PM | APPLE VALLEY – A second alarm fire ripped through a strip mall that included a smoke shop, Saturday night.
Firefighters responded to a reported fire in the 18100 block of Highway 18 around 7:17 PM.
Units arriving on scene found heavy smoke and fire coming from the attic of a strip-mall.
Firefighters initiated efforts to attack the blaze but were delayed by heavy steel doors and security gates.
A second alarm assignment was requested and numerous agencies responded to battle the fire.
Within 40 minutes firefighters had knockdown of the stubborn blaze.
Investigators were on scene to determine the cause of the fire.
No injuries were reported.
