Apple Valley: DUI Driver Slams Into Doughnut Shop

11.23.2018 | 7:40 PM | APPLE VALLEY – A suspected DUI driver came crashing into a local doughnut shop, Friday evening.

Police and fire officials responded to reports of a vehicle that crashed into the front of the Sunrise Donuts located in the 21600 block of Yucca Loma Road around 7:40 PM.

Units arriving on scene found a van that had crashed through the front of the shop before stopping inside.

Luckily, the establishment was closed at the time and no injuries resulted.

The driver of the van was administered field sobriety tests before being placed under arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Several neighboring business owners were pitching in to help clean up the mess left behind by the crash.
