Animals Evacuated Due To Large Pallet Yard Fire

DETAILS:

  1. On August 24th, 2023, at around 1:14 AM, Ontario Fire was dispatched to a reported fire near 13131 South Bon View Ave in Ontario.
  2. Units arrived to the scene and located a large pallet yard fire to the rear of the property with threats to live stock, trucks and other properties.
  3. A second alarm was requested and mutual assistance was dispatched to the scene.
  4. Due to the location of the fire, no fire hydrants were nearby by forced fire fighters to shuttle water in water tenders to the other engines.
  5. This is still a very active fire as of 3:30 AM. All nearby roads are closed to assist in firefighting efforts.
  6. The cause of the blaze will be under investigation.
  7. No other information is available.
