Angeles National Forest: Brush Fire Scorches Several Acres Above Glendora Mountain Road
11.10.2019 | 10:31 PM | ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST – A brush fire that broke out above Glendora Mountain Road was quickly contained, Sunday night.
Authorities responded to reports of a brush fire burning near Glendora Mountain Road at Mile Marker 9.5 in the Angeles National Forest around 10:31 PM.
Units arriving on scene located an approximately one acre brush fire burning uphill in light winds with a moderate rate of spread.
Firefighters battled the blaze from the ground and eventually the air, containing the fire to just over three acres.
Some air resources were grounded as a result of heavy fog in the area, delaying water drops.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
