Anaheim: Suspect Injured After Deputy-Involved Shooting

11.19.2019 | 2:21 AM | ANAHEIM – A suspect was wounded after being struck by gunfire during a deputy-involved shooting, early Tuesday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a family dispute at the Hampton Circle Apartments located in the 9500 block of Ball Road in unincorporated Anaheim around 2:21 AM.

Deputies arriving on scene made contact with a male subject armed with a knife who was involved the in the altercation.

A deputy-involved shooting occurred and the suspect was struck at least once by gunfire.

Firefighter paramedics treated the man on scene before transporting him to an area hospital in unknown condition.

The circumstances surrounding the deputy-involved shooting will be investigated by the Orange County District Attorney’s office as standard procedure.
