Anaheim: Senior Hospitalized After Inhaling Smoke From Fire
03.28.2019 | 10:30 PM | ANAHEIM – A senior woman was hospitalized after inhaling smoke from a kitchen fire, Thursday night.
Authorities responded to reports of a fire at the Acaciawood Village Senior Apartments located in the 1400 block of West Ball Road around 10:30 PM.
Units arriving on scene found light smoke showing from a multi-level senior living complex.
Crews made entry and discovered a kitchen fire on the third floor of the apartment building that had been extinguished by a resident prior to their arrival.
One woman had inhaled smoke from the fire and required treatment.
Firefighter paramedics treated the woman on scene before transporting her to an area hospital unknown condition.
An number of residents were displaced temporarily as a result of the fire.
