Anaheim: Resident Rescued By Neighbor From Burning Apartment Building
04.05.2020 | 6:30 PM | ANAHEIM – A resident was injured after being rescued from a burning apartment building, Sunday evening.
Authorities responded to reports of a structure fire at the Evergreen Country Villas located in the 3500 block of West Green Tree Circle around 6:30 PM.
Units arriving on scene located a two-story apartment building with heavy smoke showing and a male resident with injuries after being rescued prior to their arrival.
Firefighter paramedics quickly extinguished the fire and treated the victim for burns before transporting him to an area hospital.
Initial reports indicate a good samaritan believed to be a neighbor rescued the victim from his balcony as the building burned.
No other injuries were reported but a cat was found deceased inside one of the apartments.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
