Anaheim: Officer-Involved Shooting Leaves Man Dead

12.12.2019 | 11:00 PM | ANAHEIM – A 34-year-old man was dead after a officer-involved shooting, Thursday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a disturbance at an apartment complex near the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and East Street around 11:00 PM.

Units arriving on scene encountered the male suspect, later identified as 34-year-old Taveonte Art Emmanuel of Anaheim, and an officer-involved shooting occurred.

Firefighter paramedics treated Emmanuel on scene before transporting him to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

No officers were injured and it was unclear if any weapon from the suspect was located.
